new homepage

we've updated the http://www.bikeland.org homepage a bit to be a bit more useful and match the look of the rest of the site a bit better. it now displays any news bits we deem worthy of putting there, so start off at the homepage when you visit the site.

any questions and feedback are appreciated.

yeah looks good. I'll change my link to head there first.

Maybe loose the "enter" page. I've never understood why a site would have an 'enter page' I came there to enter didn't I?

Some how using Came and Enter in the same sentence seems dirty. Maybe its just me.

Loose the "enter" page please. First time there I thought the page didn't fully load. Other then that it looks nice.

thanks to all for the feedback so far.

fish_antlers will be the one to decide about the entry page. he's the artistic type so he designed the page(s) and i just made it happen.

slug, what version of mozilla and on what platform? mozilla 1.7.2 on win2k works fine for me.

swft, similar question to you. what browser and can you maybe send me a screenshot? i cant imagine why it wouldnt work since it's super-simple html.

fp10r, it's not too bad. i'v been doing this for long enough that i can throw it together pretty quick. the problem is finding even a lousy half day in my schedule to do it all!
