Pair block off plates.

Iwas wondering about the "pair" block off plates for the 10. I'm (me and Y2KZX12)gonna put on the full Arata system this week and was curious if you need to block these off. Where would I get these anyway? And what about air cleaners? Has anyone done a back to back comparisons between stock and aftermarket? I realize a BMC or K&N is reuseable and cost about twice as much as stock(witch no dealer in CT seems to have in stock). And how about a set of adjustable cam sprockets? I have this whole winter to tear into the beast. Thanks in advance ,,Otto

Far as I know, the ZX10R doesn't have any PAIR system on it. It does have a KLEEN system on it, tho...

When my 10R was dynoed the operator blocked something off with clamps. If it wasn't a "pair" type system, what was it?

PAIR valve system is essentially the same as Kawasaki's KLEEN valve system.

I got my block-off plates from Kyle Racing at www.kyleusa.com for about $30. You can do it cheaper but not as clean by just clamping off the hoses.

You will find that if you do not do something about the valves, you will typically have popping on deceleration after switching to an aftermarket exhaust system.

Crotch, I bought the Arata after a freind put one on his 954 Honda. I was actually gonna get the Ti Force or an Akro but after seeing his pipe and pricing it ($1248.00 shipped with a PC3 USB). The next closet prices were around $1322.00 to $1400.00 for the Ti or Arata. Its on now and sounds mint. Still have to get an appointment to make a map. Maybe Sunday I'll be able to ride it.
