Reporting live from Munich!
2:29pm (5:29am PST). Was able to pilf a laptop from my new best friend neighbor. I dont know how to pronounce his name, but a free tee shirt did the trick!
On sensory overload at the moment. Way too much cool stuff to take in at one time... Most of the new bikes have yet to be unvailed. Appears peaking under the covers that most are fairly unchanged (looking from an exhaust standpoint). Hondas & Yamahas same. No undertail on the R6 as of yet. Kawasakis all look the same, except obviously the ZX6. Suzuki all the same except for the 1000. Man that is a huge muffler! Thank god it´s Ti. Has an EXUP type valve in the S-Bend that will make it a bitch for a Slip-On.
Anyway, thatz all for now. Have some cool shots, with ton´s more to go, but no way to download them yet. Will try to figure out if I can download to his system in the next few days. BIKELAND signs proudly displayed in the booth. To be continued.....

Day 2 - 10:52am (1:52AM PST)
Kawasaki - Sportbike wise, only change looks to be the 6. Man, that undertail exhaust looks pretty much identical to the Honda. Sorry....
The 10 has a really cool new paint scheme; metallica titanium silver. I like it! Don't know if we'll be getting it or not in the states. Other than that, the 10 outwardly appears unchanged, as does the 12.
Honda - Other than colors and a cool Repsol paint scheme option, they outwardly appear the same.
Suzuki - Again, except for the 1000, the 6/7 & Busa all look the same.
Yamaha - No change on the 1000. And no undertail on the 6. They both look the same as 04 outwardly.
Still no help on downloading some pix. Hope I can get them to you before I come home (21st).
Speaking of ice. Is it a f-ing crime to ask for ice in your drink in this country? Chrimeny.... the looks we get when asking for a stinking glass of ice to go with our drinks are amazing.... Somebody out there with German background - clue me in! WTF!

Are you asking about downloading the pix from yer camera? You shoud be able to go to any photolab and pay 5 euros to get them to transfer yer card to a cd (while you wait)... then you can email me from yer CD.. I did this several times when I was there a month ago.... costs ranged from 5 to 8 euros including the CD. Tell them NOT to wipe yer card just so that you can verify that the CD isnt a coaster yerself.
Can you look into the Momo/ Motorola "Bluetooth" wireless helmet fer us? Sounds interesting... I wanna know if it acts as a cel phone or if it will also act as a FRS radio...
I noticed that often it cost 2x as much to sit OUTSIDE at a rest. than inside.. worth asking if they have an "outside menu" or an "inside discount"... good luck on the ice and enjoy your new high-carb (or should I say "all-carb") euro-diet!

Day 3 - 11:30am (2:30am PST).
Fish - Yea, thought about that. Will work on it.
Today is exhaust research day. Not much top secret stuff. Just very nice exhaust by most companies. Even a few that I'm jealous of....
Ok short report. Lots of meetings today on a variety of interesting projects. Just downed 2 Red Bulls so I'm ready to rock! Late!

Day 4 - 9:18am (12:18 PST).
D - Right on the money! You must have ESP.
Made the plan last night. Met on the outskirts of Munich this morning. Beautiful crystal clear f-ing cold morning. According to his GPS mounted on the dash, I went 352 k per hour. I don't know what the boost setting was, but I can tell you it felt like it had more in it. I was just too cold to ride it anymore. He said he's got me on video when I passed him in his car (Peugot) shifting into 6th. I don't have the conversion off the top of my head, but I will tell you that I believe it's the fastest I've ever gone in a straight line. There was nobody in the left hand lane and very few cars on the road. They really are aware here that yóu only go in that lane if you are truckin and it felt realitively safe. Saw some Mercedes sedan going about 150mph or so. Also some other brand going about the same. Surprisingly, I haven't seen very many bikes on the road..... ? Very strange. Other than freezing my butt off, it was a very cool experience. It's been about an hour, and my heart rate is still pumping pretty high. Definetly the highlight of the trip so far. 3 more days to go! Late!

German Philosophy of Ice...
Germans understand that the soda is already cold comming out of the machine. Why would you want less soda in the glass? Also, it waters it down too. That is why the Germans do not put ice in their glasses. I got the info from my good friend from Germany.
