Ignition Advance for the ZX10

Has anyone tried advancing the ignition timing on there 10?
I am assuming it would be done with the computer . How about those Factory (Factory Jet Kit)velocity stacks? Any real world feedback on those?

So whats the optimal timing for a zx10r engine?
Has anyone done any testing yet to find out?

Ottos, pipe (arata TI) will be here friday. I was hoping to do everything at once while its apart.

How about cam timing? Anyone tested different cam timings?

There is no longer a PC3"R" for any model... The PC USB has an expansion port to take plug in modules such as an ignition advancer. That module is not available yet but should be... I dont have a timeline, but I will consult the crystalball and report back for you.

I guess I'll pass along Ryan Schnitz comments/informs from his website that ignition advancing does not seem to help ZX-10R.

Salsa1, so they are running a factory base ignition timing map? No additional advance anywhere?

Interesting.

i'm thinking advancing the intake cam a 1.5 degrees with the thin head gasket would make the bike stronger from 5-8 grand. ?
Not exactly what you would want in a drag bike bouncing gears near peak power.

But getting back on the power as you roll the power back on mid corner would be better. Rignt now it seems you need to be above 8 grand to get out hard.

Jim...5-6grand is where they launch the 10 at, so it gives you extra HP/Torque for the Launch...
