Removing a scratch on tank??

Ideas or products to remove or repair scratch on ZX-10R black metalic paint on gas tank?

Scratch is about 1.5 inch long ,1/16 inch wide.

Looking for ideas; Thanks.

Have fun; stay alive.

If you just want to hide it somewhat, that colored wax shit is better than nothing.

Dunno if kaw has touch up paint out. Short of that, could go with some generic color rite touchup. Bummer dude!

Not terribly noticable actually ;mostly seen from riders top view. May see if one of the local body shops can run a toothpick with close matching paint and rub it out for improvement.

Will cook ideas and options for a while and see what I settle on; not worth painting tank over it...

Any ideas or experience left from forum is still welcome. I'll be ok...

Thanks.

I was talking to the dealer, and they said that they use color rite for the factory colors. I have a scratch in my lower that is 3 times the size of yours.

Thanks SPROCKET I feel so much better now...lol. Good thing is the ZX-10R has fairings well sectionalized to minimize repaint cost or replacement like in your case.

Life happens.

Peace.

salsa, get a hold of crashtech, he regulars the 12 side of the house, he is a professional painter and he may know of some products or ideas that can help you with the tank....you can pm him on here, or email him at brettsbikeworks@bellsouth.net
