Any word on the '05 ZX10R
Any changes rumored on the ZX10R for '05? I am going to buy a ZX10. The question is, is it worth it to wait till the '05s come out? I currenty own a RC51 '02. Track days at Jennings, FL.

I've seen a few 10r's at dealerships in the area (AZ)... I might just come down to where you are and how far you are willing to drive to get one

My dealer in MD has three (one black and 2 blue.) They won't sell them until the wheels are taken care of under the recall. Heck, they don't even have them on the floor. They pulled them voluntarily so they won't have to hassle with inquiries on a bike they can't sell. I think that speaks volumes about this dealers integrity. But that's just my opinion.

Info from magazines is that Kawasaki does not make major changes the following year after a new model production. revisions in two years and new model typically in 3-4 years as I remember.
I don't expect much changes for 2005 myself anyways.
Hope that helps.

Friend at dealer can get me one
My friend used the bike locator and a bunch of dealers have them. I am in NJ. I only checked for Green and Black models. His dealer is a Yamaha dealer as well, and he said he only wanted to order only a few ZXs, because he said he saw how fast the R1s were selling. They were stealing the ZX's thunder. Whatever! He also stated that people said that the R1 was more comfortable to sit on in the showroom.

When it comes to squids, it has to be comfortable to hang out on. So the people walking by can see your loser ass just sitting there on the bike you can not handle. I guess.

OK Yehamaha R1 looks good hehe; I buy Kaw for the engine power delivery mostly. I feel thats a bigger difference to be reckoned. Other areas Kaw is great too so not a difficult decision to choose ZX-10R.
Doubt seriously either will ever have Goldwing like comfort for that matter. Give me reliable POWER....

As per a Kawasaki press release detailing their model line up for 2005. No change for 2005 for the ZX10R or ZX12R. Except possibly bold new graphics.

They were not specific as far as the graphics. They listed 15 or so models that would not change, except possibly for BNG. The ZX10 was on the list. But they did not say the ZX10 would have BNG.

At RMC in Renton, WA...they had six ZX-10R's sitting in their inventory. All the blacks were sold out. They had blues and greens, and one orange.
The Maui Kawasaki dealership had a couple 10R's last time I talked to them too.
