Recalled Wheel is made by Enkei
Finally had my wheel replaced and the manufacture is not Kawasaki it is Enkei. Enkei I think is owned my Toyota. Its not Kawasaki fault this time around.

None of the motorcycle manufacturers make their own wheels. Nor do they make the ignition systems. Or the brakes, the seats, the fuel injection bodies, the relays, the switches, the bearings used throughout...Same as car manufacturers, those parts are sub'd out to suppliers. What the manufacturers do make are the frames, bodywork, engines. But common components are made by suppliers.

...you'd be surprised how many component mfgs 'private label' parts to supply the giant mfgs of cars, truck, motorcycles, boats, planes, and trains...and its cheaper, too...you can imagine if every motorcycle mfg had to tool up for every single component...your $11K 10R would probably cost 10 times as much...

Yes they do. They also make wheels for Formula 1 cars, GTP racers etc.
They make very nice, high quality wheels, right up there with BBS.

Have heard rumors that the recall wheel supplied is heavier ;not much I would think ; but just to know...anyone have info on this?
