Almost speechless...the 10 rules!!!
Had a great time at Road America this week. I've been doing alot of track days this year but it's always been tight, technical tracks. Now I don't know if the 10 is just starting to wake up with 1500 miles on it or if a horsepower track like Road America makes the 10 shine. Either way, I was awestruck by the high speed acceleration of this beast. It pulled so hard through the upper three gears I couldn't help but shake my head. Needless to say, if I started in front, that's where I stayed. Only in one session did a modded ZX-12 give me fits. But after he exited a corner in too high of a gear, bye-bye.
We are some lucky folks to own these beasts.

If I can just get you over here to help set the suspension on this thing I think it would be even beyond our wildest expectations. So what do you say Kerry? I guarantee I'll have a good bike that you can ride here too and a place to stay, hell take another honeymoon and bring the wife over here so she doesn't feel like it's a "guys only" thing. There are other things to see here than the track(can't imagine what that would be, LOL).

1b7 - thatz tempting..... I'll be in Munich from 9/11 - 20th. It's just a puddle jumper to my mom's homeland (Sicily actually).... Hmm....... Where exactly were you again? You towards the Milan end or Sicily end? I'd bring the tires and exhaust.
Too bad you're kinda far from Munich. I need a sportbike for the show to display and you keep all the goodies after the show is over!

Actually, yes. And this is a funny story. A couple years ago I remember turning 2:40s with the ZX-12. I figured that those times shouldn't be hard to beat with the almighty 10. Now I'm not the fastest guy by any means, but I know I'm faster than two summers ago. But try as I might, I couldn't do any better than a 2:43 the other day. I finally pushed it too hard trying to get through traffic and ended up getting run off the track by some lapper that probably never knew I was there. That was the last session of the day, so I went home totally ashamed. It wasn't until this morning that I remembered that the laps I made with the 12 were before the kink was added!! Doh!!

BTW, I'm sure Miguel thinks he's pretty cool setting the track record this year, but if I just had his bike...........

KB> I'm in Sicily, by Catania. You can come get my bike for the show if you want, I just need it back by the 27th, because a couple of guys and myself are going to the SBK race in Imola on the 25th and 26th then getting on the track at Mugello the on the 27th for an open track day. Hey there you go...you can go to Munich then shoot down and hang with us and go to the SBK race in Imola(close to Bologna) then go to Mugello on that Monday and either come back to Sicily with us or go back to the land of speed limits. By the way the SBK race is only 55 Euro for Sat and Sun and Mugello is 50 Euro a session(I'm going to do 4), so all in all it's not that expensive for the whole thing. We already have rooms set up so you can hang with us if you like.
I know, I know long winded, but you can't believe how excited I am to go to Mugello. Anyway think about it, you're more than welcome to join us. That goes for anybody on here. Be nice to put some faces with some names.

KB> We might even have a bike for you to ride at Mugello if you want. It would probably be *gasp* an R1 but you'd still be on the track.
