Zx10R first ride

Well I picked up my Black ZX10 the other day, I went to Maryville TN to deal with the people at Alcoa Good Times. They treated me right on my 03 ZX6RR and did good by me on the 10 this time. Anywho, here goes...

I brought the bike home on saturday afternoon, and wasnt feeling like riding much, so I went to unbolting items off the bike. The first to go was that ugly ass rear fender, replaced with a Lockhart Phillips fender eliminator kit with C/F blinker, short stalks. Then the new frame sliders went on it. It was about this time I noticed that the front fork seal was leaking. At this point in time the bike had 1 mile on it, I was not happy.
I rode the bike home that night, about 10 miles and parked it. I noticed that when you lugged the bike down a bit in a higher gear that I was getting a pretty good buzz in the bars from the motor.
The next day i rode it back over to my buddys house and around town a bit, the buzz was still there, but the motor started to feel a bit looser, for the lack of a better term.
Today I took the bike out and put about 100 miles on it..man o man let me tell you the bike is starting to reallly feel good, the buzz isnt as bad as it was, and is getting better with each mile. I imagine it wont get a whole lot better than it has, but its very tolerable now. The bike doesnt have the low end and midrange grunt of my 12, but it feels just as strong on the top end. I wasnt able to really go out an push the bike hard to day as there is a steady mist in the air, and the roads are wet. What little bit I did get to run it it handled well and the brakes are good. I dont think they are as good as the 6RR was, but still very good over all.
Once I have it broke in really well I will take it to Nashville and have it Dyno'ed, then I will start the upgrades as the pocket can afford it.
Right now I am looking at a Micron Serpent system, PCII USB, K&N filters, adn I already have the -1 VoRtex front sprocket sitting on my desk. Just waiting for the break in to get over with before I put that on....will keep you all posted....

Over all I am very impressed with the bikes power and handleing....I cant wait to get it on the track and then to the gap to really run it good.....hehehehhe
