Who's ordered an Area P exhaust?

I'm interested in seeing some opinions... initial opinions seems to lean towards this system being of considerably higher quality than the competition and the price is defintely right.... I'd like a "real world" opinion....

Thanks... .just trying to catch up from my vacation...

Definitely no quality issues - as a matter of fact, I think the carbon fiber quality is much better than the Jardine I have.

Smaller core slip-on is perfect for those not wantin ta piss off the surrounding population but still wanna hear the bike.

The larger core set-up on my bike now is the way I like the bike to sound (it hasn't even broken in yet).

Additional mid-range boost of the smaller core is a welcome addition but I prefer the larger core's more linear feeling response.

More to come...

D, or Kerry, as I stated on another forum that I thought my Area pipe was on the 'quiet side', I was wondering if that might be from the exhaust valve being closed?

Also, I thought I had read/heard somewhere that the valve does not open in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear, is this correct?

Thanks for the help,
Hamilton

Hamilton.. I had understood that the Area P pipe made the same/ more HP than the others yet was still quiet....

I thought that was a good thing....

Fish, IMO the Area pipe sounds identical to the stock can. But Kenny informed me that that will change with some miles...can't wait. If it ends up sounding like a Yosh Zyclone, I'll be happy.

Hamilton - No mystery with the valve.

The reason his exhaust is so quiet, is he has a fairly large elliptical body, larger in overall diameter than the Jardine, and a slightly smaller core. Plus, and more importantly, he packs the core extremely dense. That's a good thing. He has no issues running his Carbon on the dyno, the packing lasts a very long time, and the obvious, it's very quiet. Those are the things we'd all like to have on every single exhaust system the "big boys" manufacture; attention to detail. Since he assembles all the mufflers himself, well, I guess he assures outstanding quality. Nothing wrong with making good power with a quiet system. As with any muffler,it will definetly pick up a db or two after the packing material compacks a little.

Wow, I think I'm starting to get jealous!!!!

Easy Kerry, suck that chest in. Ahh, it's ok, it's great when a dad is proud of his son.
