Load engine on zx10r

I'm hearing that the 04 zx10r after a period of time has very load engine noise. Is anyone having this problem? Also, the GXSR1000 05 model is supposed to be a bad ass bike. What is Kawasaki doing to stay on top? Is the 12 changing its look, horsepower, and wieght next year? Sorry so many questions.

I have not heard anything official and I think the dealer shows are a few months out. Kaw has stepped up more than enough with the 10R so I guess its time for Suzuki to show its hand. I hear the Busa is losing a few pounds and gaining a few ponies so I would not be surprised if the 12R did the same. Will be another interesting year for the enthusist. BTW my 10R has around 4000 miles and the motor has NO increased noise, if it was not for the Akra it would sound like a sewing machine.

You may have the 10R confused with the R1 which immedietly after breakin is prone to produce increase bottom end noise and unexpectedly explode. Sorry fellow R1 brothers but somebody had to say it.

The noise that you're talking about is the sound barrier being broken! But other wise nothing heard here at 5100(and climbing fast) and ML the Akra does sound nice!

Engine noise is about equal with a gixxer 1000. There is a lot of vibration related noise from the plastic at certain rpms though. Kinda nasty.
