OMG! Jardine Dyno Shoot-out 545.1 HP!!!

Had to post a new thread. John Noonan from JE Pistons layed the smack down on everybody with a 545.1 horsepower run at the Jardine Powerjam, West Coast Dyno Shootout. I could be wrong, but I believe that is a North American record. The old one being like 511 hp at the AMI Daytona Shootout (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

John hurried back today to get another run in after turning a measly 328 hp pass yesterday. He drove in from El Mirage after setting an unfairinged record of I believe 211 on this particular Busa. He showed up straight from the run, with bike covered in Mirage dirt.

I really don't know how to convey to you the pass sequences. He warmed up with 416, 434, let the bike cool, did some tuning, then layed down the 545.1 pass. He backed it up a few minutes later with a measly 534 pass.

It was standing room only at the event, last run of the day, and was simply awesome to witness. John must have balls the size of grapefruits. He not only twists the thing on the dyno and builds the motors, but he rides this horse as well. Unbelieveable.....

Dyno Chart -

Wow! Yes, that name was passed around at our shoot-out by Harry from ATP. So looks like we demolished the previous record. I still have goose bumps from being the "MC" at the event. John was so pumped it wasn't even funny! Two records in one day! Something he'll treasure for a long time. We printed off a bunch of sheets documenting the run, and John was kept busy autographing them for the spectators.

He autographed mine - " Kerry, thank you for letting me abuse your dyno! signed, John Noonan"

I'll scan the graph in tomorrow from work and share it with all of you.

Me!!! 159.7 hp - Slip-On, BMC Race Filter, VP MR9 fuel. "D" took second, and we both left all the CBR1000, R1's, GSXR1000's in our wake!

In fairness to D, he was not running MR9. If he was, I believe we would have been within a few 10ths of each other. I believe he came in around 153 or so.... And thank god he wasn't running the MR9. He had on my son's mule/test pipe. I never would have heard the end of that one!!!!!

Why? As long as they keep suppling us.....
Actually, yes. I'm going back to pump gas ASAP. The race gas really stinks up my garage, especially after a hot ride.

I do need to test the VP U4 again though. My bike with the stock mapping would not work with it and ran lousey. The oxygen content of U4 is extremely high and requires re-mapping to make it work.
