Because the vast majority of bikes are indeed... stock. Also because it takes a heaviliy modded car to keep up with a stock bike. The car guys know this, we know this. Sportbikes are generally regarded as being the fastest things on the road (for very good reason). So when one gets beat, especially some type of super/hyperbike, it's kind of a neat thing.

That video has been around for like 4 years. A stock Hayabusa is still a 9sec @ 140+mph capable motorcycle. 190mph top end. Guiness World record holder (atleast that's what the busa guys say, lol). It's generally regarded as the fastest production bike ever made... in STOCK form.
The Supra was full stock leather interior, A/C, stereo, etc.... Very large twin turbos on the STOCK bottom end. Went 141mph on boost alone, and he was spraying a 70shot when he raced the Busa. This is not internet rumors anymore, it's been confirmed for over 4 years.

Obviously the 10R is NOT in 6th. The way the bike jumped out from the start is evidence of this. All he had to do, gear or not, was not miss any gears. Basically, the 10R jumped out on him "in a heartbeat"... but then got reeled back in. That's power, and that's an ass whuppin... bar none.

That argument is just plain retarded. Different strokes. Some people don't want bikes... to some it's too easy to go fast on a bike. These days you're basically a cashier's check away from the 9sec zone and almost 200mph. Some people just like cars. Different strokes.

I'm not so sure why anyone would be frustrated in any way. No one mentioned money but the people giving excuses as to why the bike lost. Hell, it wasn't even anyone we knew who lost. Perhaps a better rider may have won... fact remains that on that night, that rider and bike got their asses whipped. The rider can go home thinking "hey, atleast I spent less money"... and the winner will go home thinking... "hey, I just put a hurtin on the newest, most badass bike on the market right now, sweet".

Judging by your ricey excuses, I'll assume you meant "properly" as in "modded enough to beat whoever you're racing at the time". So if you lose, your vehicle wasn't modded "enough" or... "properly".
