New to the forum fromOZ

G'day from OZ, just stumbled across this forum yesterday and registered. I am about to take delivery of my new ZX10R that has been special built the last 2 months and certinally is something, its a pity I won't be able to ride for the next 3-4 months (Sholder reconstruction)and this is KILLING ME!.
Spec is as follows.
Kawi Green, Ohlins race rear, Ohlins twin chamber steering damper, Polished and Ti plated wheels & top tripple clamp,Robbimoto clipons rear sets RP shift, Full Race Acra Ti high mount system, USB power commander & Quickshift, Renthal race sprockets & Regina race chain, Dialed cams and full engine setup by ex Kawi Factory Works mechanic of 38 years experience incredible guy, Goodrich braided lines,Double bubble dark screen, Full floating disc's, New Bridgstone RR spec rubber, yet to go on the Dyno needs more KM'S for final setup but the test rider ( ex racer ) was very quiet after the shakedown run then stated if fittd with Slicks and a good rider it would win the Superbike class overhere it was that good.

I still have some more mods to make, full carbon bodywork, Speigler radial master, Ignition module and then we start on the engine once the limit has been reached on the electronics side of things. Stock out of the crate this bike is amazing when finished it should be incredible and shouldn't cost more than $40k Aus. I haven't seen it fully assembled yet but hope to take some photos this weekend and will post. If you live in OZ and want any bike work done these guys are just something else Professional is not the word. I have an Edwards Replica Mille Aprilia that has not bee right from new and these same guys are sorting this out for me and I will also get them to finish my 2000 ZX9R track bike as well ready for summer when I can ride again.

Freek thanks for the greet, never been able to leave anything stock some kind of mental disorder gets worse as I get older. The bike stripped of side and lower fairings looks mean especially the exhaust and sounds just like a GP bike it also has a 60 degree GP throttle to make life interesting as he tells me response is instant with the 16t sprocket as well!

Turbo thankyou, I to think it will be interesting once we get into the further development of the bike. These guys have very close ties with the factory and a lot of insider stuff on the 10 and the current 10R I am told is very much a detuned version of what was originally proposed back in October last year from Kawasaki. Reason for the change the bike was just to much and would not have been excepted for compliance in many countries ( remember the 2000 ZX12R ) part of the deal with this bike is ongoing development and 200+ RWHP is a realistic goal but I will just have to see on that one.

No, I'm a total Southern California Boy! I just happen to have a lot of friends and business aquaintences down under, including Mat and the boys, and the HRC crew from Honda Australia (Paul Free, Josh Brooks, Adam Ferguson, et al..). I just talked to Paul today about some new parts we're sending down to the race team. Got to admit, the Honda's are running pretty good right now in the series down there.

The definition of "Long Deal", is a maximum discount on parts for your Aussie dollars. Just tell em I sent ya! G-day!

My mistake, that really is nice to know you keep fast company! I have met Paul Free before when he use to work with Phil Tainton great guy he built my 9R and will be used for the dyno work on this new beast, smart man.

Funny I looked at a HRC Honda at first with very little interest from the dealer as I was looking at the full blown package but having ridden the two bikes the 10R is definately more my style, you are right Crusty is doing very well in the Supers at the moment just wait until next year when the kawi's have some Factory kit to run and a years development under their belts ( part of the work on my new bike ) HRC is a big company to get the jump on.

Some Pics of the new Beast.

Well finally got down to the shop for a look at the new Beast and it doesn't dissapoint in the looks department at least, still a few things to be finished, the number plate holder has yet to be fitted and a couple of small items yet to be decided on so now just to attach some photo's for your comment.

In a couple he wheeled out my Aprilia called them the twins!

Here is the link to my site still not completely sure how to do this and haven't set up the Kawasaki side of things yet so go into My Bike Pics and scroll down let me know what you think!

Next to the square for writing posts/replies there is a little list of help on: Smilies, BB Code and Pictures. The BB Code is the one you want to look at.

For Links, type "" then the address you want to link to "www.ausbikenut.cjb.net", then "".

Hey presto! You end up with a working link. I (literally) just found this out myself on another thread I replied to.

Swft, in the words of Homer DOH! thanks for that little hint I will remember that. Burgerking glad you like the rides it is amazing just how simular to ride the two bikes are, both rock solid chassis simular suspension comparable brakes and although a large HP difference the track times would be closer than you think.

In the next couple of months the trio will be complete when my 2000 ZX9R is finished as atrack only ride the same guys that built the 10R will be doing this for me so when I can ride again it will be take your pick what to ride. I will post some pics when it is finished looks great just in the race fairings so far.

safe rides.

Progress So Far.

SP500,
good to hear from you, still not riding yet the sholder's not up to it yet but getting closer. The bike has had the rear tail eliminator fitted looks trick and I am waiting for the replacement wheel to come back from the Platers. This weekend their is an Expo on in Melbourne and my bike is on the Electromold stand so you can see it in the flesh if your around?

At this stage I have held off on any further mods till I ride it and I hope this will be next weekend if the Doc gives me the all clear to ride? Just sitting on it and blippin the throttle is really getting sad, but if I risk it and screw the sholder I might as well sell them all as I won't be riding ever again!

Going to Philip Island this weekend to see the Superbikes so if the weather holds it should be good, I will take some more photos and post on my site to update. Starting work on my ZX9R track bike next week and should only take a couple of weeks to finish so then need to book some ride days to set up all three bikes and make up for lost time.
