Need for aftermarket shock/springs?

Just want to know your opinion:
Does 10R so badly need aftermarket shock/springs?
Are they worth $$$ for 10R?

That would be a question for your riding style to decide.
Most production units are limited in adjustability and weight range.
It you happend to fall into the factories theoretical "rider weight" range... you're in luck.

The OEM shock can be tuned to work pretty decent but if someone is inclined to ride/push harder on weekend rides, trackdays or further yet racing then the OEM shock will be the first item to hit the shelf. The OEM forks are above avg due to a decent spring rate & valving but as always they can be improved through revalving and removal of the top-out springs. Between my own experience and feedback from others it seems to be the concensus that the wheelbase needs to be extended a bit from the way most customer bikes were delivered in order to gain some stability. As delivered the 10r is front end weight biased in order to get it to turn but again the consensus is its beyond the good #'s therefore it requires the front end to be raised 3-4mm.(or fork caps level with the triple clamp)

I had the comp damping out all the way and the bike would still break loose over anything thicker than a shadow. That's with DOT race tires. I put on a Pense 3 way and never looked back. Transformed the bike. I'd say it's the first mod you want to make on this bike.
