One from a previous post; there are more. But it appears 4 - 5 is pretty common. With higher claims by others. This test was a Bolt-On, and it's worth about 3 hp or so.
quote: Tested the D Man's 10 again today. Previously, with 2300 miles & Jardine Bolt-On, it made 150.6 hp, 74.7 tq.
Now with 4400 miles & BMC Race Filter (new & kinda wet), it's pumping out 156.1 hp, 77.0 tq. That's a 5.5 hp & 2.3 tq increase!
We did not run a back to back test with the stock filter re-installed, but I would venture to say that the miles have more to do with the additional power than the filter. But that is speculation and not hard proof. Fuel curve was very similar with it actually running a little richer from 3 - 4k rpm. That may have been from the filter being fresh and wet. Just the way the D-Man likes it.
