Custom Leathers
I just ordered my first set of one-piece leathers, and here's the deal:
1. I'm somewhat tall and skinny, so when going by the sizing chart for "off the rack" leathers, I had to get a set that's bigger around the chest, stomach, and waist in order to accomodate my height.
2. Custom leathers are too expensive for me right now.
So my question is:
------------------
Has anyone had any luck with having their leathers altered to fit them better? Or is it really that important to have a snug fit around your midsection? I read on the Z Custom Leathers website that they do alterations... do you know of any other places that might do this (like places that do dress suit alterations, etc..)?

Z leathers will only usually alter their own suits.

Bates Leathers.
Also, look in the back of Cyclenews. There are usually some in there also.

You can try zoonileathers.com as well. I know for a fact that he will alter any thing you send. GREAT work too. I've had several suits made by him and tested them all several times without ever having a seam come apart.

Ive found Z leathers to be very helpful with just about anything. Crash damage on another brand, even tailored a nomex driving suit.

I want a kangaroo suit next. Have sent mail to Arlen Ness a couple times, but if I don't get any response from them soon, I might look at a Teknic kang suit.
