exhaust mod dyno?
Has anybody dynoed their bike stock and then with the catalytic converter removed and holes poked through the center. Just curious before i do it to mine. don't want to do it if it hurt the powerband.

Just do it. You won't regret it. The best way to get the cat out is to find some steel tubing with about a 2" OD to just fit inside the inlet. Then pound it through the cat. Turns a seriously onerous chore into a 10 min. thing.

well just got done doing the exhaust mod. Used a drill router to get the converter out then I used a 14 in drill bit to drill out the plate. I ran it and it sounds a little different but have not had a chance to ride it yet. Let you guys know how it feels when I get back.

Just got back from riding it and I have to say I am not that happy with the sound. I made two, one inch holes in the plate and I am thinking about drilling more holes to let more air get through. Anyone else had this problem?

I started with two holes and went to three because it didn't drone and I was feeling lucky. Now I like it more.
