masterbike V motogp In this month motorrad there is their masterbike test of 13 current sports bikes. Well ya all know who won i guess but anyway best times did Gabor Talmazsci Hungarian world 125gp rider and it was 1.55.119
The point is that at Catalunya circuit the best motogp bike did 1.42.596 and in race they ride at 1.45 pace. So im guessing that if 10 were riden by Rossi he could be qualifaying for motogp race. Limit was 1.49.777. And the 4th rider was almost a second over pole. I think that is very good result given that bikes were runin on dunlop 208rr tires so not even on best production tires.
Oh and Randy Mamola used 10 for some nice smokin rear tire pictures.

I love my 10 as much as the next guy, but ain't no way a stock 10 will reach qualifying times for a MotoGP race, even with the almighty Rossi aboard.

so to get in rossi would need to drop 6 seconds off of that 1.55..... a set of slicks and theose king size gonads might make it awfully close..

Might have the Proton, Aprilla, R1 hybrid thing covered. But I don't know about the rest. Best comparision would be look at World Superbike & Motogp lap times to come to anykind of conclusions. This debate has been raging for years. I remember when the Ducati (Superbike) times would have put them on the 2nd or 3rd row at some tracks a few years back...

If folks here can recall, Suzuki tests at Malaysia with their full team. So you get the the AMA boys (Mladin, Yates) riding the GSXR against the motoGP boys(Roberts , Hopkins) riding the GSVR on the track at the same time.
I think this year the GP bike was 3 to 5 seconds faster depending on the day. That probably gives a pretty good perspective when you condering a stock anything ridden by whomever you choose is not going to be near as fast as a full on megadollar AMA superbike.
