i'd say the 04/05 transition mentioned there is the most likely reason. any suggestion of problems with the bike are hogwash, as they'd suspend sales of existing bikes & recall all sold ones too. not to mention we'd have heard of it by now. too many conspiracy theorists. XL, don't suppose this is something u can comment on?

No more 04 production....all have been sold.
If you cant find a dealer with one on the showroom floor , your waitin till 05.

Hopefully an analog tach!  That would be the only thing I could think of to complain about.........heh heh. Awsome bike, it's no wonder they are probably all sold out.

My dealer said they are working on 05 models. He has 2 black and 2 orange zx-10r left at a good price.

I was at the dealer today and saw 4 10's on the showroom floor. I asked if they were having trouble getting rid of the blue and green ones cause there were 2 blue and 2 green. He said that the blue ones came in this morning and the green ones were harder to get rid of. He went on to say that it was the last of the 04's. Kawi is just looking ahead to '05. Nothing to worry about, unless you are Suzuki, Yamaha, or Honda.

Except that news from the Suzuki dealer meeting last weekend advised redesigned 1k that was lighter and with a couple more hp than the 10 (and GP styling).

Lighter? In Suzuki-speak that means heavier. Check the 02 vs 03 gixxer 1000.

I paid more than that used.47miles,w/Euro. blinkers,but still used.
That sounds almost below cost.Tax in Texas is 6.25%=8900.00+TTL

Well, roym, Im not a TX resident so I dont get to pay sales tax there.

Rac & turbo: My dealer in Alabama, The last time I check they were 9599 or 9699 OTD for out of town buyers.

9599 can be had from a cooperative dealer, I just need to find one close to my area because with gasoline prices it doesn't make sense to travel too far. If I can find one between MD and GA that would be great because I travel that route at least once per month going from my house in Northern VA to Lawrenceville GA which is 10 minutes South of Road Atlanta. I appreciate any info if you have a stocking dealer with black or green willing to do 9599 OTD.

nobody that I know of selling for that price.That's why I drove to Kalamazoo to get mine used.
9995.00 was my best new quote +TTL=10600.00 on the road.
