Crash Pix

In the interest of not highjacking that other thread, here's some pix of my 10 some wanted to see:

I wish I could offer some lessons learned but I honestly can't remember what happened this time. I know that I was determined to get a hell of a drive off the last corner to try to pass a pro rider down the front straight. Not sure if I got off the inside of the turn when I clipped the apex (someone said they saw dirt at the apex after my wreck) or I just grabbed too much throttle. Anyway, I lowsided and the bike went into the bales. The good news is the exhaust saved the tail, the tank didn't touch down and the frame never got scratched. For someone who stupidly rode without sliders, it turned out pretty good. By the 27th, I need to replace the footpeg, rear brake pedal and do a little structural repair to the plastic. Since I already had a dented tank, I'm turning this one in to my insurance and hope it doesn't hurt me too bad in the long run. Oh yeah, injuries: somehow smashed the ends of both pinky fingers and have a raspberry across one shoulder blade even though the leathers didn't grind through. Leathers are ripped, gloves ground through, helmet ground down. At least no broken bones this year.....yet.

LOL. That's why I didn't bother replacing the tank. Every season I push it just a little too far. It sux to be my bikes. Now where can I buy some fake fur?

Ouch. Sorry to see those pics. At least you fared OK. Last time I hit a tire wall I broke both hands.

I'm sure you know this, but insurance does not cover sanctioned racing events. Now educational rides such as track days...
