tank protector

I've got about 1300km on the my new 10 and the clear coat on the tank if glazing from the leathers.

The dealer can't locate a tank bra from any vendor's yet and I'm curious if others are having the same problem. I'm told that some fine polish will buff it out.

While searching for the various protection options I came accross the site http://www.thetankslapper.com/ which offers a vinyl non-adhesive coating. Has anyone tried this? any problems?

Yeah, it's marginal. The 3M ADHESIVE kits he sells are the best solution out there.

What of it. Wormhole says you like Cox too. I hate lingerie. It always seems to get shit under it and end up doing more damage than it prevents.

Not sure if they are available yet, but I saw a really nice from KMC on an orange 10. It had ghost flames in it. Shiney vinyl. I wasn't real keen on it at first, but after about 5 hours of smoke, fumes, & heat, it started looking cool. Rode it through about 40 dyno runs and it held up great! Actually, it had a matching orange seat as well. Smokin!

On my RC51 I had an ART carbon fiber tank protector. Real carbon fiber and it held up wonderfully for over 2 years of abuse that put the RC though. I will get another as soon as Art produces it.

I tried the black KMC bra on my Blue10R, thought it looked like Fido's azz when it came in; did not fit as tight or snug as I wanted. Sold it and ordered a Targa the other day via website $43.25 delivered (1/2 the price the KMC)...I think the KMC set up will look great if you have the matching seat-skins as well. Just my .10rCents... Good Luck Targa Part # is (27-448)

Don't forget Second look. The problem is they don't have much stock and are more expensive than most others.
