Canadian OTD Prices?
I live in the Toronto area and am thinking about replacing my stolen RC51 with a 10R.
What and where will I find the best price?

VERY hard to get a good price as almost all are sold out. Two Wheel Motorsport in Guelph (1-519-836-1957) had a couple in there last week, but I don't know about price. I don't know about the T.O area dealers.

Ya, I have noticed that supply is getting low. I was at Cycle World last week and they were sold out. The sales guy there said they were going for $12,500 + tax. That is including a $900 rebate from Kawasaki.
I will try to stop at McBride's as well as Planet Cycle on my way home from work tomorrow and see what they have to say.

$12,500 is an excellent price, barely above dealer net. I have no problem with a dealer making money - that's why we all do what we do! But at that amount, it's almost nothing.

Mind you, it would be easy for the sales guy to say $12,500 if he was sold out and had no bikes to sell at that price.
I am pretty sure the 2 dealers that I plan on stopping at today still have stock.
I will see what they are asking.

I live in the Vancouver area, and picked up a ZX-10R for $12,400 all inclusive, but before taxes. The bike was in-stock, and I picked it up two days after making the deal.
It was tough getting a good deal because as frEEK mentioned, the local dealers were pretty hard-nosed on dealing. Plus, many of them were unaware of the Kawi $900 "insurance credit."

rspec, what exactly do u mean by "all-inclusive"? that includes freight & pdi and whatever? literally everything except taxes? seems to me u got a helluva steal if u managed to swing that

Hey frEEK. Yep... that's all-includive. Freight, PDI, eveything... except battery/tire tax, and our dreaded PST and GST.
I wasn't planning to buy a bike this year (had a free R6 to ride for the season), but I couldn't pass up this deal. I knew the salesperson when he worked at a previous dealership, and he bypassed the sales manager and spoke directly to the owner to approve the deal.

Yes I agree, Rspec got a good deal compared to what Planet Cycle here in Toronto just told me.
$13,300 + $200 frt + $200 prep + 15% tax = $15755 OTD
That is $900 (insurance rebate) + $400 off the $14599 list.
That price is basically take it or leave it seeing that they only have 3 10R's left for the year.

don't feel too bad. my 12 cost me well over $18,000 by the time i was done with it. plus another grand for useless (for me) insurance on the financing. frankly i'm still amazed the msrp on the 10 is lower than on teh 12.

Blackfoot motorsports in Calgary was giving 1000 off the 14599 in lieu of all kawasaki promos. I hate the "price-dance" so I took it for 13599.

I bought mine from cycle world and we paid 12 500 plus taxes and all the other shit. They give you 1100 bucks off the list price which is what the deferred payments for 12 months work out to be. Then they ( the dealer) knocks a few hundred bucks off that. I went in on a Sat..they had 1 orange left...waited 1 day to leave a deposit...gone!!!
So the sales guy (john) had to beg, borrow and steal me the last the orange one in the kawi wharehouse. I refuse to deal with two wheel even though I live in guelph. But anyhow this all means that the kawi was a hell of a buy. Thinking of trading in the 02 zx-6 that the wife rides and gettin another 10 ....of there are any :P

Well, still waiting for my claim money. By the time I do get it I have a feeling that the 10R will be all sold out.
I am still trying to decide which machine to go for, the 10R or a new RC.
