locked IM's
What is the deal with people locking the IM feature out ? I try to respond to people instead of threadjacking someone but some guys are locked out . Scared of a virus ?

My IM just wont load. Dont know why either. Doesnt matter what machine I am on at home or on campus. IM just wont load up anymore. No pop up blocker installed, used to work just fine for the last few years, then all of a sudden...

are you talking about when you click the AOL IM icon under someone's post, or the PM feature of the board?

I am not talking about AOL IM . You click on INDEX and another small window opens . There you can see who is and is not online/logged in .

beans, ur talking about the popup window that dket mentions above right? it has to be either a popup blocker or you have javascript turned off. otherwise you have it explicitly turned off in your profile.
as to why poeple block out IM, i'm assuming they just dont want to communicate with people that way. it's similar to handing out your ICQ number to everyone.
