Three day old ZX10 runs 9.80's
My brother and I both have new ZX10's. He decided to take his to the track in Louisiana this past weekend. He picked it up on Friday and put 200 miles on it. Then strapped it down on the trailer and then rode it 30 miles to the track from my dad's place.
Here is how he did.
9.87 @145MPH Bike is completely stock except for lowering the fron 2" thru the forks and a 3" link on the back due to short legs.
Ran a best 1/8th of 6.47 @118MPH
These bikes have so much potential. Will easily go 9.7's with a little more seat time. He can run the hell out of his bike.
I took my R1 and ran a 10.22 @141MPH. I just thought it might be a little soon to run my new toy.

Garceeya, where, exactly, in LA do you live?
I've run my 10R at NoProblemRaceway about 4 times so far and can't seem to get it in the 9's with 4" lowering links, strapped front, 16 or 15 tooth front sprocket. I even tried an "expert" 120 lb rider, who pulled a 10.005 at only 142, though I've gone 10.06 at 145. My best 1/8 was only 116 mph.
Maybe we could meet up and figure out if it's the bike or rider.
Mike
