Valve train noise
I got a ZX-12r before and it was probably the most quiet motor of all. But.
On my ZX-10r I noticed coming from the left side of the engine (when you're sit on it) like valve noise "ticking" from idle to around 3,000 rpm. Looking like loose cleareance of valve ???? Do that when the engine is hot espaecially at idle.
Engine broke now with 2,300 Km. Not use synthetic oil yet. I will try to see if the sound disapear.
Did anyone else get the same ???
For sure the ZX-10r engine is not quiet, doesn't bother me very much but will like to know if it's normal ??

Absolutely. But if you've ever ridden Ducati's or a RC51, the 10 sounds "normal". I like lot's of mechanical sounds!

Noise
I like the mechanicl sound too of the gears, and the air intake "Wooosh".
The only thing I think that's the headers pipe are so thin that the valve sound is very audible.
But for sure this motor is alive.
I will pass to synthetic oil today and check again. Synthetic smooth the thing usualy. So I go to Mobil 1 today.

Put Mobil 1 (15W 50) guess what, the motor run a lot smoother and quiet.
The future are synthetic.
