I too am interested in the sounds of the different pipes... I don't really need sound bytes, but if you have a general description of how the different pipes sound (from your experience).
Just a list would be great, i.e.....
Muzzy- ?
Jardine- ?
Micron- ?
TiForce- ?
Arata- ?
M4- ?
other- ?

I love it.... after removing the cat and poking two big holes in the mid-plate, the bike sounds awesome. At lower rpms it still sounds almost stock (maybe a little louder) but at high rpms it sings. I've actually gotten more than a few compliments from guys after I zinged past them that the bike sounds incredible. I'm only trying to research the sound characteristics of the different pipes out there at the moment. I think it sounds great as it is. The only reason I might get a slip-on in the future is for looks, and a little louder sound.

So how long would it take to knock out the cat & punch the holes in the bike now that you have done it once?
I am picturing attacking the pipe with a screwdriver & having parts of the cat go falling into the exhaust. I guess it would fall back out though.
Kinda use it like a chisel.
Could it be done in an hour?

I cut mine open with a saw, gutted it with a dremel and big bit/drill and big hammer/stake, and then welded it back together all within an hour.......

I have them. Just trying to figure out how to load them. I'm not "johnny" on this particular area. But I have seen them and listened to them. They both sound awesome. We're on it.

6 db as measured on the "A" scale. HP ends up being less than the stock muffler. Hard to have both on the 10. The OEM's do a great job of compromising. Need volume and multiple chambers for "sound cancelation". Oh God, don't get me started on this subject. But hey, you're on the "A" list now. Anybody who let's me try and blow their bike up on the dyno is alright with me. Thank god for rev limiters..... If you want to try a slightly smaller core, I'll be happy to build you one to try. We do use a fairly large core on the 10 (2.25") and it barks. I also have something else in the "skunkworks" that may work for you as well.
Just got done today with a EPA standard test sequence with a clone bike builder. She got certified and we "only" lost 21 hp, but it passed the 80 dbA standard. I'd say we're going to be selling a lot of aftermarket systems (ie; louder) for this particular V-Twin animal...
Spent all day on the dyno sniffing 10 fumes and mapping changes with KMC ignition package. Can't divulge all the secrets, but I can tell you that thing flat works!

I don't want quieter - was just wondering about it cuz I saw it on yer site (below sugg retail prices).
So the "black box" works huh - guess we'll hafta wait fer some numbers (I hope).
As far as the skunkworks - well, ya know how ta reach me.
No, not the Bat Signal.

No way man. It was somebody else's. It was orange. It had 300 unbeliveably hard miles, the tires were torched, and it didn't belong to them "personally" either.....
