If your unhappy with your 10's numbers and performance click here.
Alot of people on here have been getting me depressed about my purchase of the 10R. I just sold my 1375 ZX12R to get one of these. I love it in every way. Alot of people are saying it is not fast, or they released ringers to be tested. Some are stating that it is impossible to get good times out of this bike even geared out the wazoo.
I went to the track tonight to see my buddies run their 10R (mine only has 200 miles on it so far).
Bike was only lowered. NO mods!!! Stock gearing, stock Can, etc.
9.7's consistently and a 9.60@148mph was the best.
I was recording the pass until my camera ran out of memory. I will get another chance to record it and I will post it up then.
So if you are mad at your 10 because you can't get out of the 10's then you need to practice or go to a Rickey Gadson Drag school. This thing is evil!!!!!
I ran 10.4's on my 00 ZX12R when I first started out. It took me about a year to learn how to launch, short shift, etc. Now I am in the 9's all of the time. It looks like this bike it going to take me even deeper.

...a light-weight 150+HP bike is way too fast for most of us...I vicariously live my need-for-speed appetite through the skills and experience of those more qualified than me...image is everything in 'this world'...one look at you on your 10R and 'they' won't even contemplate challenging you...with just that one 'blink' you've already won! (at least in principle )...unless your ass 'saddlebags' waaaay over the side of the bike...then even a 125lb kid could beat you on his old-school 600 with a better pounds-per-horsepower and lower Cd equation...all of these '04 litre bikes are awesome in their own little and not-so-little way

Years ago, I would take my bike to the drag strip as often as I could. After hundreds of passes, I never managed to achieve the times I thought my bike should have been capable of. One day I asked another rider to make a pass on my bike to see if he could figure out what was wrong with the damn thing. His first pass on my bike was .6 faster than my best time.
Yea, that bike was just slow.... I sold it. And quit drag racing.

Practice is one thing but learning from someone who knows and who can ride will make that practice jump leaps and bounds. I tried to drag for about a year. Then I met the Millholland family (Zack CHad, Dan) and they showed me the way. I cut almost a full second off of my times within 6mths that year. They are awesome! I guess thats why one of them drags for Kawasaki this year and the other has the maxton record! Go figure!
Its all about your abilities and experience. Hell Chad runs 9.7s on his 03 ZX6RR. THat'll hurt your feelings!!!!
