I love my Muzzys pipe
Well, I had been he-ha-ing about which pipe to get, either the muzzy or jardine. Since muzzys was already out I ordered it and received it the other day and it's a great looking and sounding pipe. Just thought I'd pass that on.

It's an exhaust. You guys kill me with this welds don't look good. I haven't heard of anyone going underneath their cars looking at the exhaust pipe, awing at the welds. When you purchase a set of header, you aren't looking at the welds are you....? The main issue here, is does the exhaust make horse power. That's the most important issue......
You talked about the price, that's the going rate for a slip on these days.... you could have paid 1200 bucks for a Akro, with claim of 11 hp for a short period at peak. The gain throughout the remaining of the band is min.... Don't take my words for it, look for yourself.
If you don't want that slip on, let's get together and come to a fair price.

is an exhaust on the underside of a car exposed? NO. These bike exhausts are exposed, for every eye to see, i feel the same way, you pay that kind of $$$, it should be first class. Thats why I am waiting on Arata to get their system done, they do everything top notch, looks great, and makes good numbers, hopefully it sound good as well......

you got me worried. I just ordered the muzzy today. I bought the titinium with stainless steel canister. Which one did you buy and are you only worried about the welds? How is the sound and over all look?

Anyone who would buy an orange bike obviously cant be into appearances

Actually don't have an orange 10R, just like pumpkins, bit of a pumpkin fetish. A pumpkin man you might say. Well this medications making me sleepy and it's approaching lockdown time. cheerio my ugly piped friend.

folks, there are no surprises about the welds here. fish_antlers posted pictures with the pipe on his bike weeks ago and there was discussion about the welds at the time. it was explained in that thread that the welds looked the way they do by design. they're going for a "works" look. some love the look, some hate it. unfortunately for you, you seem to fall into the latter category

I also own a Muzzy slip-on, Carbon can w/titanium s-bend. At first, I didn't really care fo the welds....but it kind of grew on me and I actually really like the look...especially after you get it to get that blue hue to it  This is my 2nd Muzzy, first one on a 00 ZX7R, but that was a full system--loved it. On my last bike, 03 ZX6R I had an Akrapovic slip-on (CF) and I wasn't really impressed--the only thing I liked from the pipe was the deep black carbon fiber--good pipe, but not at the price it was selling for.
Now, as far as the emblem goes--that is one of best parts of the pipe I do like....I like the way it looks and always have. The only thing that I do wish for would be for the carbon fiber would have a deeper darker color...
Other then that I love the Muzzy sound and I am now happy with it...

Well DB, if you don't want the slip on, how much are you trying to get for the pipe?
For the record, Dumb is you, apparently you didn't do enough research. I if you would have, you would already know about the welds. The pipe is a Ti pipe. Ti pipe are normally used for all out racing, not show quality pipes. Aftermarket exhausts are for performance, not show. If you are a candy azz that's want to talk shop about your bike, get a magazine.

I see you do alot of posting talking about things you don't even know about. You can wait on the Arata pipe, the bottom line is hp. Is there a gain or not. I hope there's a gain with what you purchase. when the dust settles, hopefully you will be out front with your nice welded pipe. I doubt it, becuase 5 hp is 5 hp reguardless of the welds......

Commit--WTF are you talking about? Ive owned quite a few full exhausts on all of the previous GSXR's ive owned, so I believe I can chime in thanks. I post ASKING questions of things I am not clear on, or dont know about, show me a thread please where I post stuff and dont know a thing about it? I do research on all the things I purchase, and can gurantee there will be a HP gain thanks. How old are you, you post with the mentality of a 12 year old........shouldnt you be in bed now, school starts at 8am in the morning you know........
