INTUITIVE OR MOKOTECK SLIDERS???? NEED OPINIONS
I GOT THE INTUITIVE FRAME SLIDERS LAST WEEK AND INSTALLED THEM, VERY EASY, AND LOOK GREAT. WENT TO MY DEALER AND THEY JUST GOT IN THE MOKO FRAME SLIDERS AND HAD THEM MOUNTED ON A ORANGE 10R THAT WAS BEING PICKED UP THAT DAY. HE TOLD ME THE MOKO WERE BETTER BECAUSE OF THE 2 MOUNT POINTS FOR THE BRACKET. THE INTUITIVE SET ONLY HAS I MOUNT POINT. HERE IS MY DILEMMA.... 1ST I DONT LIKE THE WAY THE MOKO's LOOK, THERE ARE HUGE AND INTRUSIVE LOOKING ON THE BIKE AND THE BRACKET IS POLISHED ALUMINUM, STICKS OUT LIKE A SORE THUMB. 2ND IS I WAS TOLD THE INTUITIVE HAVE A HISTORY OF BREAKING ON THE BRACKETS UNDER SEVERE IMPACTS... MY POINT IS IF I CRASH HARD ENOUGH TO CRACK THE INTUITIVE, THE BIKE WILL LIKELY BE WASTED ANYWAY, RIGHT??
ANYBODY ELSE HAVE ANY OPINIONS THEY CAN SHARE....????

hey skully...common cyber courtesy dictates that we not 'yell' at each other with caps lock on all the time...unless we're excited, angry, want to make a certain point...or maybe you're just as excitable as my dog with his red-rocket out ...we get you point loud and clear even if you don't 'yell'...fyi

If the bracket didn't break then you be snapping off the bolt or part of the frame (possibly).
Intuitiveracing.com or Intuitiveproducts - I don't remember.

I have seen both... Just think the Mokos are very very intrusive looking, like WOW!BLAM! Plus they are not black,so they stand out. If they powder coat them the color of the frame would not be so bad. I like the Intuitives because U can not notice them on the bike. I mean you look at the bike and have to really notice them there, they blend in and also stick out farther then the Moko.... It is all just personal preference... I am happy with my choice...

me too... I like the way the intuitive sliders blend in with the bike, becoming almost unnoticeable. I'll have to check around to see if there's any truth to the questions about the bracket breaking though...

having 2 or more mounting points you would think is more stable. Well in reality the slider is mounted to the bracket with only 1 bolt. Its the bracket that has 2 points. BUT the advantage here of the Moko vs the Standard slider is a flat mounting surface. That helps to spread the load of the slide. Harder to tip a fat glass of water than a skinny one.
As far as Intuitive sliders failing. Well you have to take into account the severety of the crash and type of crash. Not much is going to help on a Highside. But just about any slider will help in a lowside.
