It sounds to me that you are not ready to get a bike like the 10r if you dont know all about what you need to do. Not to say you are green or something. Just saying by the time you are ready for a bike such as the 10r you should already know things such as this.

Just get VIN # from salesman and call your insurance company from the dealer. Have you got a quote from the insurance company? You could be in for a shock!!!

Im not asking as if I was a newbie, Im asking to make sure I dont miss anything important since it will be such a hectic day. I sold my 03 Gixxer 1k a while back, along with all my gear and supplies, so ive got to replace it all starting tomorrow. Just want to have a firm gameplan in hand before tomorrow gets here so it goes smoothly.
I also need to add a Bike stand to that list, and as far as the break in goes, is it cool to do a 500 mile roundtrip ride Tuesday, or should i just do daily around town kinda riding?

Yes, $88 a month, full coverage, all the options, with a $50 deductible.....not bad at all.........

I agree with Marc. These are questions that a 10r owner shouldn't have to ask. (but hey, that's just my opinion)

I used to use a wire brush. But that was many years ago, before I learned to have patience. Sounds like you should have started your list about a week ago. Leaving yourself only one day, means you're gonna rush, and miss something out... Ain't no frame of mind to be in, with a new bike like the 10...

Thanks everyone else for the advice, am leaving now to go up there, wont do any big rides on it, just day to day stuff, and figure that will give some folks time to get a few more mods out for it as well.........

From what company are you getting this insurance from? I deal with Progressive but I'm willing to switch.
