California bikes
What are the visual differences between CA models and the other states. Can you tell by looking at the exhaust or is it all internal. Just want to make sure I didn't get a Cali bike.

Visually you can't tell as they are indentical to 49st. Check behind the RH side body panel for the Evap cannister & 3-4 hoses and you'll know wheather you do or don't.

Also, there should be an extra sticker on your gas tank unless the sneaky dealer peeled it off. It's all in the manual. It would be way too early for Cali bikes to start showing up in 49 state dealers - usually happens at the end of the season when dealers with high demand look to the Golden State.

How many stickers is one extra? I'm in AZ, pretty sure I have a Cali model, and I had two stickers on the tank.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but yes indeed you do have a Cali model. Go to page 19 of your owners manual, and it will be clear as day. Sorry man.
Actually you may be in luck, because those Cali bikes the mags tested pumped out some serious ponies. Let us know.
