Here's the real deal... Got the intuitive sliders yesterday and had them mounted in about 30 minutes. Easy, clean install, and I think the finished product looks pretty good.

Those look really good and you didn't have to cut the plastics to put them on. How much were they? Where did you get them?

How are they mounted? I can't quite tell from your photos.
Looks like a bracket of some kind. If so, is it just one mounting point, cantilevered out from an engine mount, or is it two mounting points?
Thanks.
Oh, and do you know if they have the swingarm spools/sliders, yet?

It looks to me like the same style that I used for my GSXR(no fairing mods). They just a bracket on both sides, right?

That seems awefully close to your leg position. Is there any interference if one were to assume a racing position, off to one side with knee down?
Otherwise, they look good.
Although I have been warned in the past to stay away from bracket mounted sliders for fear of bending the frame on a fall (leverage ratios, or something like that).

hey dnwhoop02
thanks for the info, emailed Intuitive off there website, got an email back from Vicki, called and she had 4 left from the preproduction run(only made 14 set) I placed my order right then and there with her and she said she would put them out UPS today. Great person to deal with. Anyone else interested, here is her # @ Intuitive (949) 586-0514, Vicki. I paid retail of $109.95 and $8 to ship from CA to NY....to me it is worth the extra money I may have been able to save if I waited ahile, oh well... but thanks again to all, this forum has proved itself again...the best...

skullyeb-
sorry for the late response... yes, I got them by talking to Vicki (very nice lady) via email (vicki@inturace.com). They didn't require any fairing modification, and they use one mounting point, replacing the front engine mounting bolt (#8 on the engine disassemby diagram in the service manual). They don't really interfere with my legs at all, even when riding in an "agressive" style.... here's a pic of what's included in the kit...

oh, almost forgot... the replacement engine mounting bolts must be tightened to 33 ft/lb. I had to go look this up, so I thought I'd save you some time. Also, while you're waiting for them to arrive, you might want to make sure you have a tube of blue threadlock and a 8mm Hex bit (below) for your torque wrench....

I am right at 6' tall. The sliders sit about 6 inches away from my upper tibia (below the knee), so unless your femur (thigh bone) is unnaturally long relative to your tibia, I would think that there would be no problem (no guarantees of course). If you are still unsure, take a look at the pictures above and note the location of the slider. Then sit on your bike and check the leg clearance.
