ZX-10R; sales hit? It is my hope that Kawasaki will be richly rewarded for providing the point of the spear in motorcycle performance. That said, could anyone provide some feedback as to how well the ZX-10R is selling?

I'll say this much: my dealer isn't ordering any ZX-12s or Blackbirds for the showroom floor because the feeling is that this year's liter bikes will capture all the sales of the power junkies. If someone wants a 12 or XX, they'll order it. On top of that, many dealers aren't budging off of full retail. I guess some folk are anticipating big sales.

the last time i was at the local dealer, they had a CBR 1000rr and R1 sitting on the floor...no 10r in stock (the one that had come in had already been delivered). what does that mean for the 10r sales? nothing really, but i thought it was interesting.

10Rs are apparently "oversold" here in Canada - in other words, there just ain't enough to go around.
Dealers suspected it would be that way - they had way more early deposits on 10R than on CBR or R1. By the way, I have yet to see a CBR in a dealership yet. I hang out in 4-5 shops a day, every day.

All I can say is that there are 3-4 10r's running around here not counting mine. Haven't seen any R1's or 1000rr's on the road yet.

I'm working at a Kawi dealership, and atleast here in Scandinavia the 10R is selling almost too good (Kawasaki can't supply enough bikes). It's the same thing with the new Z750 (the second best sold bike over here during the first three months of the year. 1100XX is first, mainly due to fairly reasonable pricing on the old machine)

I have a CBR and had it for about 3 weeks now....it's an awesome machine. Had a 12 previously which is how I got to this board. Been around here for 4 years now. Glad to see everyone doing well and still posting.

I'm sure they will sell quite a few, after getting a good look at the new 10R it looks like they built a great bike and should be sales winner for them.

Believe it or not, the R1 seems to be giving the 10 a run for its money at my local dealer (Yammy/Kawi dealer). I think BOTH are great bikes, but it seems that some people like the look and feel of the R1 over the 10. I say NONSENSE, but then again, I bleed green .
