Realtor says it's a "seller's market" so who knows?

Yup - thinking about the same thing.

Actually, I've threatened to live in a travel trailer with a 50k foot garage.

Well that's kinda obvious, isn't it?

I mean, it might leak or something. Can't let it get dirty. And it'll cost less to cool in the summer since the shop will be cooled as well.

BTW - Putting it on the market for $409K. Bought it what, five years ago for $245K? Not in a hurry, so don't expect to get a ton of offers. But houses in the neighborhood are going for $550K, so we shall see...

pfft, yer all in the little leagues. u shoudl see what the prices here do one acquaintance bought a house for $211k, sold ten months later for $290k i think? go down to the resort and prices (depending on exact location & class of house mind u) have tripled in about 4 or 5 years, and they had already been rising quickly for some 20+ years before that. it's downright stupid.

so swft, u movin to another area or gonna stay on the peninsula?

Fuck that...Gimme some place with CURVES...

I'll get this place sold, find a 1600-1800 sq ft place with a two car garage and call it good. Fun as the peninsula is, I'm gonna be shopping over on the mainland, find something between Seattle and Auburn. Would be nice to find something near Pacific Raceway, who inows?

Dang swft...I love your pad! The perfect bachelor life too....aaah, but are you gonna get a place on the mainland for a good deal? You'll end up spending what you get for that house just on the new smaller place from what I've seen over there.

I just saw the other day a half acre parcel with nothing on it in Medina, WA for only 1.5Million. Sounds like a nice down payment there haha...

...yer slippin', boy...anyone with hobbies such as most members of our esteemed community needs at least a three or four-car garage...preferably one with an m/c lift in one of the bays....

tb, still got a ways to go there buddy. lakefront lots here (a bit bigger than 50*100 mind u) run close to 1.5MCDN. ski in/out lots... ouch. u can pay $5M for a half acre lot. seen houses going for up to CDN$13M, tho most are 1 to 8M. apparently still a pretty good deal compared to aspen/vail tho.

swft, if u have to go to the mainland alot i can see why u'd wanna move there. as nice & quiant as the ferry ride to get home is (it puts a real seperation between home and work), it is a pain when u have to do it on a regular basis.
