Help with my decision!!!!!
Alright, here's the deal. I've been on here for awhile and watched everybody get their color of choice. I put my money down on an Orange one back in Oct 03 and to date he hasn't recieved any Orange ones(that I know of...Stationed overseas, I can't check up on him), however, I called and he has 2 black ones still in the crate(preferable as it has to be shipped to me). He said that the Orange ones are on the east coast now and expect them anyday, but anyday so far has been 6 months. My question to all of you all knowing and helpful bunch out there is what should I do? I don't mind the black as it was my second choice anyway, or should I hold out for the orange one and miss the next couple of track days out here as they have already started. Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated. Just so you know I already sold my other biek so I am bikeless and the weather is awesome.

John,
I have seen several Orange 10R's in various locations here in Hampton Roads. I don't know what the delay is man. You've seen my bike and you know how it looks with the mods. I need to send you photos of it with the Euro turns signals I mounted last night, oh man.... She is smokin!!!!! Get the black...

I know man, your bike really does look sweet that why this is so hard for me. Another one of the cool things about getting the orange is that they don't sell them over here only the other 3.

To me, track days are so much fun I wouldn't miss one, let alone two or more, just to get a certain color of bike. I lost my stepfather this morning and even though we weren't close, I realized once again that every fair weather day is an opportunity to ride that you can't get back. I'd get a black one and get going on that break-in mileage, if'n it were me.

Man, I don't know where you bought your bike, but you pay too F'ing much there.
John, I see your point about the exlusivity of owning the orange one. It is pretty and they are in the shops here all of them that I have been to. I'm off tomorrow and I'll stop over in VA Beach to look around. I have my break in done an the bike, she is quick as a virgin at prom nite. I left a 12R Sunday on 460 East coming back from the ferry ride, got him by 3 bikes.

That's awesome JB. I'm getting it from koups for 10,5. but he is the only one that will ship it to me over here. I suppose I can always use my old one.

I wanted the orange also till I seen in person. It is not bright orange. Kinda pearl or something. Not at all what I expected if you have not seen in person you might be unhappy. I got the green and love my bud got Black and it is smokin. Get the black enjoy. One thing is 4 sure you will never get tired of the black. Its BLACK how can you go wrong. However the orange PEARL is a novelty that may wear off. Nothing against you orange owners it's still a 10. Both are great but black is better also for some reason the black looks even smaller to me. Good luck sleeping! LOL

Johnny boy I don't know if you were reffering to me ,but here in So Ca, people are paying 11-12 grand otd the best I've seen is 10,900 otd.A lot of guys talking 9-10 grand I don't see it if the bike retails for 10,999 and you add 8 percent sales tax that we have here a couple hundred in registration that is over 12 if you went in and paid full pop.So I usually shoot for retail otd is a good deal if you can get it out here. The R1,s are selling like crazy for 12-14 grand out here ,So if some of you guys are getting your bikes at killer deals don't knock us if we have to pay more.
