What do you think of Joe Rocket gloves?? Anybody have any experience with them??
I just tryed on a brand new pair of Speed Master Shock Tek's....Shock Tek is some new protection for the median nerve, helps reduce the pain and causes of carpel tunnel syndrome.
The glove in its brand new state feels like its already broke in....now dont get too excited about what I'm about to say...Its extremeley soft and supple.
Let me know what you know about Joe Rocket gloves.

Yeah I have Tourmasters as well. Went to a rock climbing shop to get some cloth gloves meant for extreme cold weather. So I use those as liners, and the Tourmasters as the shells....
The Joe Rockets gloves look kinda goofy with my Vanson jacket for some reason, maybe its just me though since everything makes me look goofy.

Is black/white the only color available?

If Mat likes them, and is the exclusive distributor in Australia & NZ, then they must be good. Even if I've never tried them, I'd buy em sight unseen. Actually, he just told me that in our meeting here this morning.

All I can say is that we had a bad experience with PKs Joe Rocket suit.. perhaps their consumer grade stuff is worse or different, but her's fell apart (literally)....

I think Black and white are the only colors available for now atleast in the ShokTek variety......If you look on the website, they have the Speedmaster gloves available in 6 different colors but I dont think they have the ShokTek technology in them.....Look here----->>>http://www.joerocket.com/catalog/item.cfm?products_id=170

Good gloves. Nothing special IMHO though.

Ronis - So true in most cases. But not exactly the case with Mat. He was able to obtain exclusive distribution rights for those countries on this product line (along with my own). So he's looking far past his immediate racing career. So many other racers nowadays want it all now and upfront. The most money, regardless of product, quality, etc. can be a short term delight, but a long term failure. Mat's a very good business man with a lot of integrity. You just have to be prepared for his straight-forward honesty. I happen to find it refreshing and a pleasure doing business with him (though he's kicking my boyz butts pretty good right now!!!)

Kerry - I didn't say that Mat got shit for money.
IMHO main competitors in this field (JR, Dainese, Alpinestars, name it) have quite the same quality/features products. So it's the matter of personal preference. You can't go wrong with any of them.
I really doubt that Mat doesn't like Dainese or Alpinestars speaking about products themselves. I still think that JR was choosen because of some extra profit from sponsorship and Mat's business.

I'm on my third pair of Joe Rocket SpeedMaster gloves and have to say that I really like em. Long and short of it JR has given me my last 2 pair for free so can't complain there. With each new generation of glove they get better and the JRs seem to be the most comfortable glove right out of the box. Other top gloves haven't seemed to fit as well and be as comfortable. Like everything else it's all personal opinion.
Right now I'm looking at the GPX boots, they don't seem to be as over the top in looks as some of the others but for the occasional track day and street riding they look to be pretty decent. Any opinions on the boots?
