sorry but that hasnt been my experience... now.. since your in "middle america" I'd guess that there's a much better chance that it's YOU who'd on the crack pipe than me

I have never seen a 12 that low(on most dyno's) but I guess it all depends on the dyno. Mine produced 164.5 stock on one dyno and another it was 166.5 piped and PC'd. The latter was on a DJ250.

correction factor differences is all it is kids. i thought we were already clear on that? well, that and different dynos (both different models and different individual dynos) always read different. the only dyno mine has ever been on said 144 (supposedly corrected), but everyone there was raeding about 11% down from previous results (this was on a dj150). last year (on a superflow) was the same thing. everyone was around 11% down, including cowboy's bike which read 215 (i think) compared to the 260 he read the day before and many times before that. but i aint gonna say my bike puts down 144hp. any correction factor is equally valid, but the unfortunate fact of the matter is ya have to use the most common scale otherwise comparisons are useless. that shoudl be old news. (of course, that may jsut be an excuse to make me feel better bout my 144 reading )

The "lowest" HP I have seen so far with a Step Hindle and PC3 was 170 HP. Of course I got 167 with the Beautiful Akrapovic! so provided you do not have certain Pipes or are properly tuned to the pipe, the under 170 figure sould be correct. Since I am in the over 180 HP Range on several Dyno's, I guess I must be using Crack also. I am hoping for 190 HP with my new set up still on a stock engine.

BTW, I think getting the bike in the crate is the only way to fly, but I would make sure that the crate was opened at the dealer before I left because I have seen "Things" Broken still inside the crate! I also approve of the correct Kawasaki Color also.

I also think that the next generation ZX12's will have the ZX10 style frame because there is now no reason to have the 12 frame after 4 years. This would lower the weight and if they decided to stack the transmission, they would have a longer arm and one more than serious bike! If I was single and had no girlfriend, I would get one as opposed to the 10. The 12 is more comfortable after a few changes. Now that it is used for High Speed, we ride the 250 Ninja which (I think) feels better than the 10 for comfort!

My 2000, 181.4 SAE, 2002 182.4 SAE. Same Muzzy pipe, same PCIII, same dyno. The 2002 ran 176 with a zero map and a stock 2001 ran 166 right before mine went on.

Canadian dynos must lose HP because of the exchange rate.

Fish, it's best not to display how REALLY LIMITED your experience is in this issue. Talk about thread skimming.

I honestly, after running this website for 4 years...

So, if this is a reference of measured knowledge, what does that make Dale? Über Wrench? Oh, please. Hasn't his site be up longer than this one? Even if by mere months?

quote:
and the experience of most members here who actually dynoed their 12Rs...

There's only one response to this.... WRONG! I can easily say that have PERSONALLY witness the dyno runs at DG events of board members than you have. Throw in local and non-local 12R dyno runs (not to mention on my own bike), I can easily exceed the previous mentioned 20 different 12Rs. So, doing a little math, a minimum of 3 runs multiplied by 20 bikes, then add in my own runs AND the dyno runs e-mailed to me (via a previously posted request on this forum)... that would add up to well over 100 runs.

Now, let's combine that with the experiences of other board members that either operate or have regular access to a dyno and how much "experience" does that add up to? Ignorance is often only entertaining when show by children.

And what's up with deleting all the replies on the Bikeland.org ZX10R Service Bulliten and then locking the tread? Too much "mis-information" from other members? Dude, and I thought I was spending too much time at work. BTW - its Bulletin, not Bulliten. If you want to make it look "official", at least spell it correctly.

holy hard on the crack there Sherm... the service bulletin thread lives.. it was reo0pened and it's active in the forum... I just reposted the ACTUAL service bulletin cuz thats what it is, NOT a discussion. Thanks for the typo... sorry.. I dont use a spell check as a crutch, I depend on my asshole friends (like you ) to point things like that out for me.

This site was around just as long as Dale's. If you like Dale so much suddenly (ya right!) then you know where the door is, bitch!

As for all of the 12R members getting their panties in a know over low dyno #'s... sorry but I belive what I believe from talking to the MANY MEMBERS I have on MY SITE. (this one!) And yes.. .it's been 4 years.

So.. let's get to the REAL issue. Where are the ZX-12R ( and now ZX10R! ) stickers that we sent you hats for? It's been YEARS now.. Sheesh! The 10R extists now! ... Stop giving us the "oh I'm busy" or "oh! It's election time" BS... dude... I could've hand colored the things by now.

So.. .where's the beef, redelk?

Stop hijacking my thread... You traded your 12.. you threw it away like a used soiled tampon. Stop trying to save face. Dude. We watched you do it. You're GUILTY.

Just do not expect your 10 to out run the ZX12's you see on the straight away or you will be "Sorely" dissapointed in what our 150 HP Stock Bikes can do with 12 to 15 more HP!
