Guam,

I just got back from Phoenix on my Aprilia, I rented a cage and dropped it off, so ALL 6 of my bikes are now at home.

I also had some 'specialized' tuning done on the Aprilia from a former Aprilia racer at NVH. He now races CBR1000's
as they are 1/2 the cost of the Aprilias.

NVH has about FOUR CBR1000's-all red, WTF???

I am hoping to see Walter in a couple of weeks, I'll let you know.

BTW- I expect (and told the Honda bleeders) that the ZX10 will out HP/Tq the rest of the 1K's.

(The Suzis are still kicking ass on the racetracks and topping out at 180 +/-)

You will do a lot better to have that particular "former Aprilia Racer" at NVH tune your 10R, and your R1, than ANYWHERE else in the valley The combination of his equiptment/dyno-room/experience will yeild supieror results over any other location. Just my experience in 6-7 tuning sessions there...

Not to start anything.... I don't know who NVH is, North Valley Honda I guess...but what I do know is that ECS is the only place I will take my bike....Walter knows his stuff.

No flaming from me, Walt has done all but ONE of my bikes. I also want to get a pull from Walt with my Aprilia. I am very satisfied with ECS!

NVH Mark did an excellent job for me, but remember he uses a different dyno (not a 250)

The 04R1 pc3sub has a 'tuning link' that only works with DJ units? After the session with Walt, I also want to get a pull from mark at NVH, I want to compare dyno #'s-I guess that there are 3 manufacturers of dynos?

I think that ANYONE would be happy with either NVH or ECS!

WHO IS ROTTEN2? Nice intro, do we know you?

Sorry for not doing an intro...Also, I am not flaming anyone here myself. Simply sharing some info (reason we go to message boards) from a shop (NVH), that we both go to. You have a great idea in taking your bike to ECS and then to NVH. You won't really be able to compare dyno numbers apples to apples but check out the A/F ratio. This is where NVH's dyno stands out.

BTW, my name is Jon, I live in Chandler, 30 years old, been riding 15 years. I currently own an 00 R1 and and 90 FZR400. I have also owned a 76 Yamaha XS500, 83 Nighthawk 650, 89 GSXR 750, 92 ZX-7, 92 ZX-7R, 94 ZX-9R, 98 ZX-9R, and an 01 Aprilia SL1000. I will eventually get a ZX-10R, me hopes

cool-sounds like you are mostly a kawi-bleeder?

I was not really trying to compare actual numbers, just real curious about the different dynos.

I think that there are now 2 DJ in this area, that is when I'll do some other comparisons.

Of course, I'll always use the highest HP number

Correct!! Mark uses a MJP engine development dyno. It is more comprehensive when it come's to determining the correct A/F ratio for your engine.

You do not need "Tuning Link" to to build a proper map for your R1. NVH has all the software to build a map on your PC3. Also, I would suggest having your map rechecked by Mark to see if the a/f is correct for your engine. Mark will find so much more "power under peak", it wont even feel like the same engine when you leave there.

Keep in mind....don't compare the "final #"....look at the difference between the BEFORE and AFTER #'s, especially "power under peak"
