I rode one tonight.... biatch....lol. After burning up the sides of my tires on the 12 all day..... SLO10R let me ride his. (THanks Jay!!! )
All I can say is.... first mod is a damper!!!
That shit was skimming the road in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th!!!!
I will say this... the 10 begs to be ridden hard!!! THe usual highway exit cloverleaf that I can do 60mph with ease on the 12 (posted speed limit is 25).... I had the 10 doing 80mph and still leaning in!
I bet when Im on my own bike... I can do 100 through there!!!

Seriously tho, I'm able to take it into the corner much deeper than I did on my 12. Real fun!

Yeah.... I didnt want to test the limits on someone else's bike.... but it does beg to be pushed.
You can just tell by the motor's whine from 4k to 7k.... faster, faster, faster, harder harder, harder......

TB - She did have two legs, right!
Seriously - I noticed the same, 1-4 will easily bring the damn front wheel up. I had 2 or 3 little tank slapper's. I just stayed in it's ass and the bike work's them out rather uneventful. Maybe it's engineered that way! Don't know but it never really bothered me and that says a lot. Less it changes, I'll buy one last,

That's due to the physics of all bikes, to do with gyrosopic forces etc. Basically, if you relax, don't try and force the handlebars into any position and keep the acceleration at a fairly constant level (i.e. don't drop off suddenly), the bike should sort itselfs out.

Keeping weight well forward over tank gas helps me get used to zx-10r and keeping front wheel better planted at high rpms.
Still I may get damper seems like a good idea even if not crucialy needed.
Anyone know if scotts and ohlin built a steering damper; In other words is scotts product damper very good and worth the money?

RogueJay - I meant is sarcastically. As in, ride the damn thing 1st, you may find out after you get used to it, it's not that bad overall. Hummm, wonder if Kawasaki designed it to, umm, well, work!
Thanks - lukn

UPS fella just delivered my dampner from Scotts. Just gotta get an extra key made. "This kit requires that you very slightly trim the rubber portion on the key".
I will just get an extra key made that is smaller. Oh yeah, most of you already know, no drilling needed on the kit.

I wonder if the Ohlins will require "key modification". Someone post some pics once they have the Scotts installed, I'd like to see it before i order it.

SLO 10R, WERE DID YOU GET THE SCOTTS FROM?? I HAVE EMAILED SCOTTS AND WAS TOLD THAT THE KIT IS NOT DONE YET, CAN YOU HELP ME WITH SOME INFO????

I ordered my mounting bracket from kneedraggers because I already had the damper from my 929. They do have the whole kit though.

Maybe you're just a fat ass there Fishy....lol
Oddly enough I ride in a very relaxed position... so the bike is free to send whatever messages it wants to me. This particular blue model told me "I NEED A STEERING DAMPER"..... just like my red 2002 B1 model said....

Smooth out and ride up over the tank/front wheel ladies. She's much more stable than most. But then again, the steering dampner companies love hearing what you guys a saying.
