Lowering/Dogbones: inch = ?
Does anyone know the math on these lowering straps or dogbones...as in:
1" longer = 1" lowered or
1" longer = 1/2" lowered or
1" longer = 1/4" lowered etc???

iculukn> I think your math is, umm, a little off. I remember the links I put on my 12r, both sets. The first gen. of Muzzy links were stock and slammed, there was about 1.0 inch difference in the holes, but I'll check again for you. The second gen. had three holes about .25 inch differnce. The 10r has a longer swing arm and I would be inclined to think the difference might be slightly greater. I can research this further, but I have no plans to lower my 10r, she is strickly for the sport riding, no passenger pegs either and I took the stock exhaust off too.

Depends on bike, but 3 : 1 or 3 1/2 : 1 is most common.
On my z-1000 it was 5 mm on dogbone was about 5/8 " height change in rear. I had raised the rear.

I can't really help out too much. Can vary depending on the location of the mounting holes. The only advice I could get besides trial and error were to go with adjustable dog bones that can sometimes be found Ebay with various holes as stated by J/B .25 of an inch will make a noticable difference in seat height. I've raised a Bandit 1200 and as Dolan stated just a few mm's go a long way.
