Years ago, I sold my race car because I could not resist the power it had over me. Same thing for motorcycles. I would happily spend money that I didn't have or needed for other non-essentials(?) like mortgage payments, food, cloths, etc. I went cold turkey, no race cars, no motorcycles. I played golf.
About 4 or 5 years ago several friends started trying to reintroduce me to motorcycles. At first it was pretty harmless, just a short ride here or there on a borrowed bike. Innocent poker runs and leisurly country rides. But I heard them calling me. There was that far off wail of the sirens song, calling me nearer. Then it was sport bikes and brisk country rides. I tried to tell my friends that they were doing the same thing as offering drugs to a recovering addict. The pace got faster and faster. Before long, I knew it was too late. I had already heard the race track and track days calling me. At first, I was happy with '98 R1. Cheap, fast, fun. I know I didn't need a new ZX10, but she was calling me. NO NO.............
Aw shit. That new ZX10 sure is fun. I wonder how much I can get for those golf clubs.
