Went and picked up my $2500 deposit today. I wanna cry. Looks like I'm gonna have to wait for my orange dream machine. Can't get financed for less than 14%. Learned my lesson the hard way on a high interest rate before. Guess I'll ve stickin' with my trusty ole zx7r. Hope I can still be a member here even without a bike.

I picked my bike up today. Actually Kawasaki finacing right now is 4.9% for 18 months and then 6.9% for the remainder of the loan balance. And may I say it was well worth it. All the great reviews people in here have been giving the 10r are accurate. This bike is great. I sold my hayabusa last summer because I felt it was just too heavy and long but wondering once I got the 10r if I'd be sorry. No way!! This thing rocks, and I'm just breaking it in. The only thing that I dislike are the mirrors. They are absolutely the WORSE mirrors I've ever had on a bike. And Papawheelie, this baby loves to have its front tire off the ground. Like UG said, if there is a will there is a way, GOOD LUCK

Unless you have really bad credit someone out there should be able to beat 14%.
And you can always refinance after a year or so.

14% ? are you kidding? man... come on! You could day WAY better.. get a line of credit ... should be prime plus 1... or you could buy the thjing cash advance on a low interest rate visa for that matter... cash advance rates are at something stupid low like 3.9% ... do you have super bad credit er something cuz 14% is BAD

You can have the biike, you may need to be little creative in your approach. Like Mr. Fish said, you can get a home equity line of credit or home equity loan (depending on when you closed on the house), that way you can still deduct the interest next year on your taxes. You can put it on a card if you have one with that hi of a credit line. There are a ton of institutions that will lend you the money now that you have a house and long as you are not considered a risk, but then again, you have a house. Do more research, the bike can be yours. Good luck!!!

Yeah, that's what I was saying....I bought my first house in November and I just closed on a 2nd mortgage for a "Home Improvement" a pool, some landscaping, paid some bills off then got the bike....all in the same month and I financed it through my Credit Union...and my credit is not that great....and I'm in the military, wife is a teacher--so you know we don't make that much money!

You can finance a house that fast? What the Fu..... I bought my house in July! A new truck in sept and 1.9% through ford motor credit. I'm gonna have to look into this. Man you guys are awsome!!! Thanx for the advice!

Kawasaki plan was the only way I could justify it with the wife. Put enough down for the $49 payments the first few months and 6.9% on a toy is better that any of my other plastic. I think their promotions have changed as of April and this plan may not be available.
You'll score one when the time is right - at least your riding now !!!

This is true, at least I am riding!!! After 13 years of riding street and 23 years on 2 wheels I am SSOOOO ready for a liter bike.

Just tryingto lend a hand in to help you decide how to... You that you want the bike, it's just a matter of how to get it and you will have it. I have similar time on two wheels as well 28 years for me, retired from the military so now I have that thing they call disposable income, they are giving me disability for it... Just kidding, but I have noticed that my toys just get more expensive now that I have the military behind me. I'll post pictures when I finish modification of my machine and figure out how to post. I am sure it isn't difficult, just haven't read the FAQ yet. Good luck my Kawasaki brothers and smoke 'em if you got 'em and for those that haven't you'll have time to get some great ideas from the smart guys in this forum. No, I am not one of them either.
