exhaust question

Anyone put a exhaust system on yet and removed the flapper valve yet? the gixxers 1 k fi light came on and you had to pull a wire if you removed the servo motor(flapper valve). So you had to pull a wire in the wire harness to shut the light off. Anyone know this yet. Im sure rob or someone knows.

We didn't try. We did Slip-On & Bolt-On, leaving the valve in place and unaffected. The 10 does not have great low-end (like the 12 for instance). Leaving that valve in place will help the low-end/mid-range power.

If i get a slip on, its going to make noise also. I dont want to dimish that, this valve does just that. Im yanking it, need to find thae wire im sure or just run with the light on tell someone figures it out. Rob must know though since he has the full systems on the bike already. The valve on the gixxer has had tons of back to back dyno runs with the valve on and off. All runs were always almost indentical.
