If I ride around (skip the ferry) I'll put 120 miles a day on the bike. And shoot myself in the head at the end of the week. ____________

Remember, I've seen you ride more than 120 miles a day in horrific conditions....
Oh well, way to hot to ride today anyway. Up in the 90's.

break in Man is it brutal here in Cali at 63 or whatever 4,000 rpm is I almost got ran over, and everyone was looking at me like I was retarded on a sweet ass bike in the slow lane.

Picked mine up at noon on Wednesday, put on 120 miles. Thursday up to 230 miles. Friday got to 375. Saturday got to 634. Whew. That 4000 rpm limits sucks. Saturday morning I got passed by a whole herd of Harleys out on a poker run. They all had to "race" (?) past me and demonstrate their open exhaust. I was already topped out at 62 mph. Xtremelene would have been proud of the restraint I demonstrated. If there is justice, I'll see them next weekend, somewhere.

To me it's like "average rpm" 4,000 sometimes I'm at 12,000 sometimes I'm at 1,000?!! Who cares my bikes always worked well! Just do not maintain high RPM for exteneded periods!

Ok i dunno on wat roads you all are driving but 4000rpm break in here is dangerous. We have alot of twisties but they all demand at least 3500rpm so how to keep under 4? And at same time vary engine speed and...
Damn those kawi guys will kill more ppl during break in then when bike IS break in.
And i dont want to find parking lot and do circles 500miles long.

Hey SWFT I put on 430 miles today on the bike. We went from Bothell down to Aberdeen and up and around Port Angeles and took the Kingston ferry pback home. I have 678 on it now. I finally said the hell with it and went up to 168 MPH at three quarter throttle going by Kalalock resort on the coast. This things is FAST and going to be fun when I can hold it WFO for along time. It also felt like it needs a steering dampner and headlight adjustment.

Yowsa! That's some riding, bro! Good deal! Did you set the sag on the bike yet? I would do suspension first, then do the headlights. And ya know, I don't know if I'll ever go that fast on this bike. Maybe on a trackday, but not out on the street. I *have* done 162 on my ZZR on that same stretch tho. ____________
