I need the dealer prep documents fer da 10R asap!!

So.. I've got my 10R sitting here at home now (I cut from werk early today)... I've got it together, battery is on charge, but I am lacking in the dealer prep documents (the ones that tell me what to check/ double check) that I had for the 12R... anyone out there in 10R land care to post it, scan it or email it to me? fish_antlers@bikeland.org I need to give the bike a good once over..

BTW what's the size of the big-b'jesus steering head nut and what's the tightening torque etc?

any other things I need to torque, check? oh.. and do the battery cables route under and through the frame rails?

thanks

Oh come on fish. What's so damn hard about ...

1. Remove bike from crate.
2. Install steering nut on triple clamp (your guess on the torque is as good as mine)
3. Put the acid in the battery (it comes with instructions)
4. Giving the battery a 2 amp charge for about an hour or so (Yuasa says,
charge for three to five hours at the current equivalent of 1/10 of its rated capacity.)
5. Slide windscreen in place and install (the nuts go on the middle pair of allen bolts)
6. Attach clutch cable
7. Install the battery
8. Check the "usual" nuts, bolts, brakes, oil level, etc.
9. Add fuel (min. 90 octane - RON)
10. Start bike and make sure no warning lights are on.
11. Stand there and look stupid like your getting minimum wage. Just like the guy that normally puts them together does.

I was looking at those today. My bud works in the warehouse building all the Kawasaki's, Honda's and Yamaha's. If I'd known this today I could have had them scaned for ya. Now, since I'm going to be storing my bike at his place and I'll see him tomorrow, would it help if I had you and him linked up on a phone call?

I was at my dealer getting the check for my sales taxs and I meant to get a copy of it for my "files". Since my bike currently looks like this....

... I wasn't too worried about it.

All I gotta say is that if you plan on taking one of the upper side fairing off, be on the look out for this insanely stupid bolt holdong the fairing to the headlight housing...

"Official specialty tool of choice" for this unique "headless" bolt (the nut clip is on the fairing)? Channel lock pliers.
