I've had it!
I can honestly say that I am sick and tired of GSXR 1000 fans talking trash about the new zx10r. They get beat up on the dyno, braking and handling and all they can say is "oh yeah, well you just wait till Suzuki redesigns the gixxer! Then it will be king again!" So here's my question. How long do you think it will take one of the other manufacturers to design and build a bike that is going to outperform the new throned king. Or is the almighty Ninja so far advanced that it will take a few years?

You mean like the Kawasaki guys were saying to the GSXR guys about the ZX9?.... It's good that the throne changes. It would be better if it changed every year. That's what keeps great bikes being designed like the new ZX10 King. My guess is that it may take a year or two. The bar is pretty high now. But they are all really close. Closer than I can remember in a long time. In the real world and racing world, the rider can now make the difference on all of them. But Kawasaki sure did step up finally in the pure open sportbike class.

Your so right K. It's only a matter of time before the bar is raised yet again. It is good to see someone else on top for awhile. I am really looking forward to watching the pro's on this bike after they get really good on it. It's gonna be a HUGE year!

i bet suzuki takes it again with a new model next year, then kawi takes it back the year after actually, i'd say suzuki has a tough task ahead of them, but given how far ahead the gsxr was for like 3 years, they prolyl have plenty up their sleeves for the next model. of course, they DO have a long way to catch up.

That's exactly what I was going to say.

Again, it's all in the rider. Most, and I say most of the time, the better rider on a new 600 will wipe up with a not so good rider on a bigger bike (on the street). What are bragging rights anyways? A 600 rider spanks a liter bike but the liter bike rider says afterwards, 'but my bike is faster'. Answer back, then show me or shut up. Remember, most bikes are only as fast as their riders. So take your new 10r and practice, practice, practice and make us proud. Nothing worse then some guy on an R1 site saying he smoked a 10r this weekend. Truth is he smoked a rider on a 10r. So, practice and don't let the ninja name down.
