Will a Full Exhaust Improve Power?

I would say "Hell Yes", but all of the dealers I talk to say that the stock system will give the best results. Now I know that Kaw makes excellent systems, and the ZX7R had good enough headers as to leave them, but I would imagine that a full Akra system would improve power. Maybe not midrange, but top end.

okay, just came to edit since reading the Jardine thread. But am still curious as to bee aitch pea numbers for a full syst.

With stock engine we have only been able to see 2-3 hp over our Ti/tapered slip on. So far, still trying. might be that full system will only benefit modified engines.

Mr. Rob,
Are you saying that the 10r benefits more form your slip-on, than from you full system at this time? What has been the development time (manhoures) invested to date?

Will you be campaigning a 10r this year or is it too early yet?

Thanks for your R & D on the 12r, helped me make more than 1 guy mad as hell cause he thought the 12r was a pig.

What he said was they are seeing 2-3 more hp with a full system over the Slip-On. Which is good. But as anyone would realize, the cost difference between a Slip-On and a Full System is substantial. So will people with stock engines pay 2x/3x the money for a full system and gain only 2-3 more hp (than a Slip-On)? Good question.

But as Rob pointed out, it's more likely a modified engine will be needed to take full advantage of a well designed header. In that regard, that's going to become more and more common. Stock headers are really well designed for stock motors.

Wow! Rob Muzzy!

I'd just like to say hi to Mr. Muzzy. I've been a fan since '89. Probably why my 2 favorite riders are Scott Russel and The Go-Show.....

Personally, an aftermarket pipe is a must for any bike of mine. Not that I will EVER reach the limits of the bike on the street (or track day for that matter), but bhp improvements are always welcomed and I need a great sounding system. Yes, I would pay extra for a full system.

Thanks Mr Muzzy for your input, I can't say how much you are appreciated.
