My first 10R mod

I noticed the wax (not the paint!) on my tank was scuffing.

Time for a tank protector. I stopped by Cycle Gear and got an LP tank protector - the flash in the photograph highlights the white in the carbon weave, it's actually much darker.

I didn't find one in a search last night, so I got this one. If I can find one, when this starts to look ratty, some Goo-B-Gone and a hair dryer later, I can swap...

My first mod was fixing the mud flap, looks sweet now...
2nd was reflectors, makes for better pics...
3rd was tank protector...Hate to scratch her up already...
4th, learning to hate my tank bag...Fits good, just touches my chest some and that bothers me...

Darn it, need to change the oil still. Goes into storage Sunday...Almost 600 miles now. Just ran out of time today, has to be tomorrow-lukn

Hey trikchop good to see you here.
I just got the last fairing I needed from UPS a few hours ago-the front piece. Thats going on tomarrow and hopefully my new front tire will be here this coming week. After thats on she's going in the cycletrader. You know what follows that.

I tried to find that good looking LP protector on Cycle Gear's website without success. Two others that I bought locally will not lie flat on the steep/narrow rear of the tank. Help!

I picked my 10R yesterday, drove for 12 hours round trip to SC to get her. I looked for tank pads and spools, the selection was limited. I will take her out for the first time today and visit Red Line to pick up the tank pad (Pro Grip Blister) and a set of spools, after I adjust the controls. They really suck from the factory.

You are correct, it is 1.776 mm to the left, but it is one of the things you have to accept when working with such an exciting bike, kid of the same effect as the first time... well, you know. Don't you!?

Well, the first time was kind of hurried and fast, I don't really remember much other than the cops beating down the door - What? What did you say?

Oh - that's very different then. Never mind.

No, I think kz2zx prefers right-handers, and hadn't waited for the glue to set... Is that centripedal or centrifu - oh, never mind...

BTW, don't forget the "speedo=186" shot once you're run in. It could make a good T-shirt logo, for those in the know... It would also pose a good logistical problem on how to take the piccy at that sort of speed...

No officer, it's my mates camera. I'm just holding it for him...

Well I just ordered my first 10R mods, a Muzzy Titanium slip-on and a Scotts Damper. All for the grand total of $770. Now hopefully my bike beats them here.
