I looked at the GPR damper, but they never came out with one for the 12, despite what they were telling people at Laguna Seca.

Ohlins produce the best dampers in the world. That is just a fact!
Ohlins with instalation kit will be in production in 2-3 weeks and supposed to be available in the end of April 2004.
I've already ordered 1 for myself. I've got the best bike (black 10R). Why should I mess with something less than #1?

I think the idea is a bit different.
This product was made by Ohlins and then acquired by Scott's. Ohlins still sell this (Scott's) damper construction for dirt bikes. Ohlins shaft dampers are used for roadbikes.

BTW, I noticed that hardracing.com offer Ohlins SD177 kit for ZX-10R for $479, so it could be really interesting.

The Ohlins/Scotts rotary dampers are for street bikes as well as dirt bikes. That is what I have on my 12 and that is what I will use from now on.

Can I ask how much you paid Sweet ZX-10??? Best I've seen is $405, but my dealer said he'd give it to me at cost so I'm trying to figure out a good price. Thanks.

I bought mine a couple of years ago. I don't remember the cost, but it was probably more than $405. $405 is a good price for the damper since $449 is the retail price.

HyperPro is a very popular damper in Europe. The Muzzy damper is a HyperPro damper with their mounting kit.

That's a good article, thx. Too bad the Muzzy one wasnt thrown into the mix.

I didnt think they made an adapter to get the Scotts dampener on the 2nd gen 12, just the 1st gen. That said, Muzzy has been the only option I've been looking at, but one day I'll get one.

Hyperpro are build in Holland, although it may have changed. The founder (Hans Rinner) has sold his firm looking for new challenges, I don't know what will become of Hyperpro, but their steering dampers are absolute top stuff!
